A type II sober endurance junkie with too many hobbies

A few things I’m training for and looking forward to through the end of the year!

It’s no secret that I don’t do moderation well (a gift and a curse). My calendar is all over the place with different disciplines, and honestly, I’m here for it.

I spent 2023 and 2024 mostly focused on long distance running (4 marathons in a year?) and it burned me out a little bit. I think the coolest thing about consistency in athleticism is how I’m able to say yes to everything -if someone throws out something exciting, I’m in. I am powerless over a lot of things but I definitely don’t want my fitness to be something that holds me back.

Rainier Summit

June 2025

Next month, I’m climbing up to the top of the highest glaciated peak in the continental U.S with International Mountain Guides (IMG)– I’ll be writing more about my prep and gear in the next week because it truly deserves it’s own post.

Rainier has been on my vision board for years. My friend Shannon and I climbed Baker (the 2nd highest glaciated volcano in the lower 48!) last year and it was the absolute best.

Cirque Series – Alta

August 2025

7.1 mile mountain race with 2,545 feet of vert and my first time in Utah! Yeehaw!

Photocred from the Cirque website, linked above!

Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim (or R3)

Tentatively October 2025

Exactly what it sounds like. From one rim of the Grand Canyon to the other and back again. I’ve been here a few times, most recently on our honeymoon and the multi-tag crossing has been on my mind ever since

Ironman 70.3 – Haines City

December 2025

Did my first sprint triathlon this month (nabbed 1st AG!), so why not full send. If you’ve done this one, give me all your tips and tricks, I’m a noob. Also, since we’re here, let’s take a moment for the best crew and tri partner around
